Ruben's Birthday

On June 22nd we celebrated my little Ruben's 9th birthday, WOW he is growing so fast, this is a cake he got from his brother and his girlfriend. Then on the 27th we had a birthday party for him, he was soooo happy to be getting a party this year we haven't had one for him in 2 years so he was really really happy. We had just a family party and some of his friends came over he had lots of fun.

Here he is opening a gift he got from his uncle and aunt you can tell he likes it!! he got a Transformer Mega Tron I think?? This was one of his favorite gifts. Later that night his older brother Anthony had a supprise planned for just the two of them, so around 8:30 pm he told Ruben lets go I'm taking you for a ride and they headed for Logan, He had gotten 2 tickets to go see the new Transformers Movie, and he loved it. It was really nice that Anthony had planned this for his little bro cause they hardly do anything together where he is so much older than Ruben, so it was very nice.

May 10/2009 Golden Spike

On Sunday May 10 we went out to Promontory,UT to watch the annual Driving of the Golden Spike, This has been a yearly tradition in our family ever since my son Anthony was old enough to go there. My dad started this tradition and we have kept going ever since and have taken all the rest of my kids, they love it. This year when we went Anthony told me he couldn't wait to start this same tradition with his son, I was so happy to hear him say that. It was a lovely day there nice,sunny and warm.It's funny how we go every year and see the same old thing but we love it. We enjoy watching the trains go by and blow their whistles and getting a tour of the trains when the reanactment is done. I love seeing dad with the kids on the way up there, he points out every year where the tracks were layed and where on the mountain they had to lay the tracks to get through and such and how they had to come over the Big Fill and such, it's interesting It really is and I know my dad loves to tell stories especailly when the kids ask questions, and you know grandpas they have an answer for everything :)

I could post many more pics of this wonderful day we had up there at the Golden Spike but there are to many but I will post this one, It's one of my very favorites and there hasn't been one taken like this I don't think ever, this is one picture all my kids will charish the most, I say that cause my mother who is no longer with us never liked to take pictures, so we have very few where she is with my kids in a photo, so this one is very special to me.

Spring Pictures

Gosh it has been so long since I have been on here I almost forgot what to do, any way Yeah I have slacked a whole lot I have some new pics that I would like to share, I love taking those cute pics you know and my kids hate it there like mom do we have to do this again and of course I say YES :) My dad planted some tulip bulbs last fall and they came out this Spring and they look beautiful so of course I had to get the kid's in there and get some pics. I have never taken pictures of flowers befor but I think they came out pretty nice if I say so myself.

My daughter Crystiena learned a song in Preschool called I love Spring, and when she sings it it sounds so cute but I think of all the pretty Spring flowers, In the song it talks about Tulips and Dafodils all in a row Its such a happy song for such pretty flowers.

I love they way these purple tulips came out in the pic I just wish they lasted a while longer, they are just soooo pretty.

New Baby

Hi all, will it's been a while I Just wanted to let you know that I am now a Grandma!! YES a Grandma My son Anthony (18) and his girlfriend just had their baby boy on March 24th. He is so Cute he weighed 7lbs 8oz and 20 in long and he does have hair. This is my little guy: Avin

I am so proud of him and I think I like the grandma thing :) It's fun I love to hold him. He did really well when he was born and Mommy is doing well also she had a wonderful birth. Yes I got to be there when this little guy was born it was so amazing, I had all mine C-Section so I never got to expierence the whole birthing process so it was really a wonderful time for me and i'm thankful that I got to be there for those first moments of Avin's life. That evening prior to the birth I called my best friend Holly to let her know what was going on and to ask her to go with me to the hospital, of course she said yes. It was funny when my son called me and told me she was in labor and he was on his way, I hurried and called Holly and just said "Are you ready"? I think I lost her for a min there, she is like now?? Yes now I said do you want to go?? YES I Wanna go she said! It was one of those moments where you completly forget everything! Good thing I had my daughter with me and she remembered the camera then we were leaving and Letty said mom what if the batteries don't work?? So I just ignored it and told her to make phone calles oh my heck she was a nervous wreck she juggled that phone around and kept saying what do I do and who do I call and what does their name start with? Bless her little heart.

Fixin Dinner

On Sunday we decided to make a nice dinner, now i try not to do this very often :) (Just Kidding) anyways I just out of the blue let my kids fix dinner and they loved every minute of it. I usually don't let them in the kitchen when i'm cooking because I just want to get it done with, but that day I guess I was feeling different, and to my suprise they all did a Fantastic Job. This is Ruben taking on the Rice making and he did GREAT!

I think we will be doing this more often on Sundays they just had a fun time and seeing their smiles on their faces was wonderful.

Isn't she beautiful! She is so peaceful when she sleeps. I love to just lay next to her and watch her, I like to rub her soft little cheeks and just listen to her breath. On this day she woke up early and I guess just wore herself out cause she NEVER goes to bed befor the rest of the family EVER. This girl is our little night owl! Her motto " I'll go, if you go first!" and that's how it usually works out :) But that's ok. I sometimes wonder what she is dreaming about, at night she will all of a sudden get up and say "Ruben stop that", or she'll reach over and start hitting her daddy on the face for no reason. One night she blamed someone for taking her ham? Don't know who that was but she was mad! Sweet Dreams my sweet pie!

Future Book Writer!

I know I havent added any new blogs in a while, I'm lazy. But I just took the cutest pics of Crystiena just a bit ago and wanted to share them with you.

Here is my little book writer, she is learning how to copy the words out of books and she has been doing a wonderful job, she likes to make little books, draw pictures and add her own words to match the pictures. Her writing has improved alot, We are very proud of her. Who knows mabey one day she will become a writer?

Little Ruben Recieving His Bobcat Badge for Boy Scouts

Today January 27th is a good and a sad day for our family. Today is the 23rd anniversary of the death of my husbands brother and the 2 year anniversary of my mother's death, and our youngest son recieved his Bobcat Badge at Boy Scouts we are very proud of him. Kind of mixed emotions on this day. But I would like to share with you are happy moments of our son recieving his badge. Ruben joined the Boy Scouts about a month ago and seems to like it, He's been wanting to join ever since Letticia was in the Girl Scouts, Well now he's old enough and he likes it. He goes every Thursday after school and has Pack Meeting once a month to recieve their new badge's. When he recieved his badge I had to go up there with him and he got to put a Bobcat Pin on my jacket and we took a pic.






























When all the Boy Scouts recieved their badges, they had some games ready for them to play in the next room they all had fun. There was a basketball game, a insect jumping game and a fishing game that Ruben had time to play then it was time to go. We are very proud of Ruben for earning his first badge and we wish him luck as he continues on with the Boy Scouts.

Crystiena's B-Day Party

Today we had Crystiena's Birthday Party, She had so much fun. We had a McDonalds Praty and all her friends came, infact there were 17 kids there and some adults. It was fun all the kids seemed to have a good time they played on the indoor play ground for a while and they were the loudest bunch of kids i've hurd :) but it was all good. They all ate cheese burgers and fries, played and ran around abit more then my sweet pie got to open her gifts and we all sang Happy Birthday to her and had cake and ice cream. I'm really glad we were able to have this party for her, she had been looking forward to her birthday, she deserved it all she's been such a good girl. She got lots of gifts, Barbies and play dough, color books, a cute baby doll, money $17 dollaars to be exact:) WOW she gets so excited. She went to the Dollar Store today and bought herself a Hannah Montana Doll she was so proud to pay with her own money. I can't believe our little one is growing up so fast. Well i'm glad she had a very nice birthday Happy Birthday My Love!

Crystiena's Birthday

Hi, Well today our little girl turned 5, This morning i woke her up and sang Happy Birthday To You, and she just rolled over and covered herself right up, thats funny cause thats something we as grown-ups would do. :) Well she did get up and got ready for school and I fixed her hair really pretty and she wore a pretty dress and off we went. She had her Special Day at Preschool today, she took her "All About Me" Poster and cookies to share with her friends, Crystiena got to tell about her pictures on her poster and they sang Happy Birthday to her. O yea, they even made her a Birthday Crown to wear it's really cute, they make all of the little kids hand prints on paper and cut them out and make a crown. Later this evening I made a little dinner for her and her grandpa came over and ate with her and had cake and ice cream. Her cousins and aunt and uncle also came over later on and brought her some cupcakes :) She really likes cupcakes (who doesn't) :). Tomorrow she will have a Birhtday Party at McDonalds here in town and she has invited some of her little friends to come and share her Special Day with her.

How Time Flies

I can't believe how fast time goes by, I say this because in 4 day's our last child will be turnning 5, WOW! She has grown so much over the years and is just so cute, all the little things she does and how she plays, listening to all the cute little songs she has learned in preschool, just today she was singing the months of the year and I just stood there and listened to her as she sang happiley and she got them all right. This is her last year at Tiny Stars Preschool, then it's off to the BIG School, Kindergarden, I don't know if I'm ready for that she is our last one and it's going to be really hard, but we're proud of her. This year for her Birthday were doing the McDonalds thing she was really excited about it she has invited her friends to come and celebrate her special day with her, Oh yeah on the day of her birthday she will have her special day at school she can take a special poster we made all about her and her family, she will take treats to share with her friends in her class.

Our Trip To The Canyon

I would like to share these pics with you, I hope you like them. This is our trip to the canyon, that is our favorite place to go and just have fun with the kids. They love to go and just have lots of fun and take fun pictures. This is one of most favorite past times that we can all agree on doing We load up the van with blankets and extra clothing, just in case :) Oh yeah and you can't forget the bug spray! That is a must! Ruben will always get the cooler ready with munchies, the kids will always get hungry, so we take ham and hogie rolls, chips and some drinks. We try to eat first and then let the kids go on a little walk and have some fun, and if the water is not too cold, then they can get wet, and this was the perfect spot, but the water was kind of chilly. And you know, I can't even remember where this spot is :) Hopefully we'll be able to find it again, I just know that it was very nice and had lots of space and was very beautiful, next to the river, and had a great place to take these pics.
